1. Describe CANON LAW
2. Describe what might happen to a person, like a king, who didn't follow canon law?
Canon Law is a set of rules that the church follows. It is a set of rules that has been passed down threw generations of the church. The Canon Law has the rules a regilations that are used by the christian organization and its members. In the old Catholic church Canon Law pretty much controlled peoples lives.
Back then the Church had higher authority than the king. The church had the right to kill under the name of “God” including the right to kill prodestants also. In the canon law it states that “the tribunals of kings are subjected towards the power of priests” and “whatever belongs to priests can not be usurped by kings”. The Catholic church organization was basicly the rulers of the government due to peoples lives being devoted to religion, they pretty much owned everyone.
